Ask the SRO

What a great first few weeks of school.  It has been awesome getting to see the kids after the summer and getting to meet the new students at Southwest High School.  I truly believe we have the best school in LPS and this is accomplished with great students, parents and staff.

Over the course of the last year and a half I have been asked a lot of questions by parents and many of them are wondering the same thing. This year I am going to try something different to answer these questions for students, parents and staff alike. Most everyone has heard of advice columns.  Each month in the Silver Talon Newsletter I plan on doing something similar to an advice column in the Ask the SRO piece. I plan to answer questions put out there by the community, that’s you! To make this work I am in need of questions that parents, students and staff have about the role of the SRO in the school, law enforcement in general or just hot topics on your mind. All questions asked will be answered to the best of my knowledge either through private correspondence or in this column. No name will be given in the public forum and this will be completely anonymous.

I can be reached through several forms of communication. You can call the school at (402)436-1306 and ask for me, you can email me at joe.fisher@lps.org, Via Twitter @Silver hawkSRO and private message me on Facebook at Silver Hawk SRO.

I look forward to your questions.
