Interested in being an Ambassador? There will be a meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 6th right after school in the B118 Forum. Applications for students who would like to join Ambassadors are available in the Counseling Center as well as on Google Classroom.

Attention all students going on the LSW Japan Trip next summer! The countdown is on…8 months and 10 days until departure. There will be a mandatory meeting this Friday, November 2nd at 7:45a.m. in A213. We have important business to talk about so we need everyone there.

Arts and Humanities invites you to come to their Open House on Thursday, Nov. 8th from 6-7p.m. Meet teachers and other students, take a tour and ask questions. Please call Bobbi at 402-436-1785 with any questions.

Are you or someone interested in attending Science Focus Program? The Science Program? The Science Focus Program Open House/Informational Night for prospective students will be held on Wednesday Nov. 7th in the lower level of Camelot Commons at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.  The results are in! Halloween Town was voted as the movie to watch for the Silverhawk Spooky Night, Tuesday October 30th @ 5:30-9:00p.m. Make sure you bring 2 or more cans of food for admission! Wear your best silly costume to wind a basket of fun prizes.

Interested in a trip to Washington DC?  Do you make a difference through volunteering?   Apply for the 2019 Prudential Spirit of Community Award!  A student from each state will be named State Honorees and will receive an award of $1,000, a medallion, and an all-expense-paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington DC in May.  Applications for 2019 awards are available at spirit.prudential.com and nassp.org/spirit.  Deadline is November 6th.  For more information stop by the main office.

LSW Booster Club: Online Store Up and Running - The Booster store now has a website in which you can order clothing from, however, there is no discount.  You can continue to shop in the booster store and receive a discount but not on any online orders.  The new website is:  www.lswsilverhawks.com

Challenging classes?  LSW NHS offers free tutoring every Tuesday during PLC in the media center.  If you are interested in a one-on-one tutor you can fill out a request form on the LSW website to be matched with a tutor as soon as possible.

C113 computer lab is back open for business after school! Students staying after school in need of a quiet place to work can check into the lab. It is located across from the nurse’s office. The lab is open from 3:15-5:00p.m. Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursday. Wednesday it will be open until 4p.m.
