Do you have a favorite teacher? Consider nominating him or her for the LPS, KFOR/KFRX annual “Thank you Teacher Contest”. You can nominate a teacher in any of the categories across all grade levels. Nominations can be submitted online by going to the LPS webpage and typing in Nebraska Teacher Recognition Day. Nominations are due by Friday, February 8th

2019 AP Exam Registration

This is a message for any Current and 1st Semester AP students- this year's AP exam registration window is February 1st through March 8th. If you would like more information about the exams and registration process please see your AP teacher, or stop in the main office and ask for Dr. Brady.

The Career Academy (TCA) is hosting a Career Explorations Fair for 9th, 10th & 11th graders and their parents to learn more about top career options.  It's never to early to start thinking about career choices for students.  The Career Academy offers 11th & 12th graders experiences in hands-on learning in one of 20 career pathways.  Attend the TCA Career Explorations Fair anytime between 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 10 at 88th & O. Park in the lower south parking lot at SCC, Register for prizes, meet TCA students and instructors and see how "doing high school differently" can make a huge difference in your future success.  We hope to see you there!

Greetings, French students! The registration for the National French Exam is now open. We encourage you to participate in this annual contest! Please see Madame Van Zandt or Madame Christenson to pick up a registration form!

LSW has a year-round food pantry available to all LSW families. Student or parents can fill the form out online— enter jump code BCY3 at lps.org to get there— or stop into the LSW Counseling Center to get set up, either as-needed or on a repeating basis (standing order). There are a number breakfast foods, canned goods, and lots of yummy things to eat right away or keep in your cupboards for later, all for free! Let us know if we can help.

LSW Booster Club: Online Store Up and Running

The Booster store now has a website in which you can order clothing from, however, there is no discount.  You can continue to shop in the booster store and receive a discount but not on any online orders.  The new website is:  www.lswsilverhawks.com

Challenging classes?  LSW NHS offers free tutoring every Tuesday during PLC in the media center.  If you are interested in a one-on-one tutor you can fill out a request form on the LSW website to be matched with a tutor as soon as possible.

C113 computer lab is back open for business after school! Students staying after school in need of a quiet place to work can check into the lab. It is located across from the nurse’s office.  The lab is open from 3:15-5:00p.m. Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursday. Wednesday it will be open until 4p.m.
