The Lied Center for Performing Arts asked for our help in spreading the word about an upcoming Kennedy Center production, "Phantom Tollbooth," scheduled for this Saturday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. A free family festival is set at 12:30 p.m. before the performance. The production is designed for grades 3-9 students. Description: Milo is bored...but not for long! In this musical adaptation of the beloved children's book, Milo ventures into a fantastic universe, aided by a trusty time-keeping dog, Tock. The companions embark on a mission to bring harmony to the Land of Wisdom, saving the princesses Rhyme and Reason and reuniting the brother Kings of Dictionopolis and Digitopolis along the way. With the help of The Phantom Tollbooth, Milo learns about words and numbers-and most importantly, that every lesson has a purpose, and that our actions affect everything and everyone. For more information please contact Nancy Engen-Wedin: nengenwe@unlnotes.unl.edu, 472-4707. Lied Center for Performing Arts box office: 402-472-4747.
