Attention ALL FBLA Members Attending SLC:
Please pay the remainder due for SLC to Mr. Hinrichs by this FRIDAY MARCH 20TH. Passes were handed out on Tuesday during 4th block letting you know the balance due. Also, please return the medical release & permission forms to Mr. Hinrichs by this Friday as well.
There will be a short meeting today after school in Room C209 to talk about SLC. Also, we will have another meeting the Wednesday following spring break in Room C209.

The Hawk Talk will be distributed to 2nd block classes on Wednesday, March 18. Extra copies can be found in the main office and room C110.

Yearbook sale will be April 14-17 before school and after school (except PLC Tuesday). Cost is still $55.


Congratulations to the debate team for another excellent weekend! Special congrats to our national qualifiers -- Paul Poulsen in Lincoln-Douglas and Jack Zhang/Bilal Kamal in Public Forum. Congrats as well to semifinalists Sarah O'Neill, Maddie Bien, Albert Zhou, and Michael Crelin and to quarterfinalits Kaitlyn Steinacher, Charles Chen and Ben Crelin.

Congratulations to the debate and speech teams for being the 2009 Nebraska North Runners-Up. This award is compiled for total rounds of competition over both weekends of national qualifying competition.

Congratulations to Coach Baack, assistant coaches and the Boys Varsity Basketball Team for taking 2nd at the State Basketball Tournament this past weekend. What a great ride!! Also, congratulations to all the student fans. You represented LSW with great school spirit!!

NEBRASKA Black Male Empowerment Summit on Saturday, March 28th at the Nebraska Union City Campus at 14th & R Streets. JUNIORS interested in an APPOINTMENT TO THE U.S. MILITARY, NAVAL, AIR FORCE & MERCHANT MARINE ACADEMIES with academy classes starting in July, 2010, should see your counselor for information and the Application for Nomination to the U.S. Service Academies. The application must be postmarked by October 31, 2009, to Senator Nelson's Omaha office in order to begin your file for nomination.
