2015 Graduates— Please check the list of potential 2015 graduates posted on the Attendance Office window to make sure your full LEGAL name is spelled correctly. Diplomas will be printed as shown. See Mrs. Carman, Registrar, if there are ANY changes.
Government and Politics- All seniors are required to take Government and Politics their senior year. Students need to fulfill 20 hours of community service.

completing the FAFSA and the Susan Thompson Buffet scholarship application.

Seniors are reminded to register with ScholarshipQuest (https://www.educationquest.org/resources/scholarshipquest/) to apply for such scholarships as the LSW Parent Advisory Council Scholarship. The LSW PAC will be awarding a total of five scholarships ($500) to students who are graduating in 2015. Applications for the Scholarships will also be posted on the LSW Counseling Center website. All applications must be turned in to the Counseling Center before 3:30 pm on Wednesday, April 1st. Applicants must write a 600 word or less essay that addresses a "Meaningful School or Community Activity) they have experienced while a student at Lincoln Southwest. Essays must be typed, double-spaced, and have 1-inch margins.

We will be practicing a severe weather drill along with the rest of Lancaster County, Wednesday March 25th. We call this a “shelter” drill, so be asking your teachers where your classroom goes in case of severe weather for the best protection.
SHOS applications are now available from Mrs. Bales in room B204. The application and the teacher references are due by Wednesday April 8th by 3:30p.m. to Mrs. Bales. Tickets for the LSW Annual Faculty Basket Ball game hosted by LSW DECA now are on sale. The game is March 24th. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchasd from any DECA member. Half the ticket sales go to Muscular Dystophy Association.

Doors open at 9:15 a.m. to noon, and the program is at 10:00 a.m. This is an opportunity to learn about the service academy nomination process. Information regarding Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), Military Tuition Assistance and the National Guard and Reserve forces will also be available. Military Representatives will be available before and after the program.

All expenses are covered by the program (housing, meals, iPad access during program, supplies). The 2015 STARTALK Chinese Language, Culture and Technology Summer Academy is designed for learners with no or very little knowledge of the Chinese language. Saturday, April 11 from 9am-1pm is our bi-annual Electronics Recycling Fundraising Drive for the Music Department. If you have done any spring cleaning and have found some old electronics that you want to throw away, bring them to the recycle drive instead! We are going green!
Anything that uses (or once used) electricity can be recycled! The company we use is called "Secure Recyclers" so you can bring your old computers or laptops without worrying about your files or electronic information.

We are a non-profit that offers prom dresses and all of the accessories to students for only $20. We want to make sure that each and every girl who wants to go to prom, has the ability to go! Not only do we want to find a dress for every girl, but we want to create an experience she will never forget! We will be starting our Prom Dress nights every weekend in March (Friday 4-7, Saturday 9-5, and Sunday 12-5). Do you have a talent? Auditions for the annual talent show, Flight Night, are April 1st and 2nd. Sign-up sheets will be posted outside of A114 and E wing after spring break. Flight Night will be April 17th and 18th.
