Homecoming tickets are priced at $15. Students can purchase tickets with cash or check at the following times.
9/21: after school (3:03-3:30 PM)
9/22: before school (7:30-8:00 AM), during lunches, after school (3:03-3:30 PM)
9/23: before school (7:30-8:00 AM), during lunches, after school (3:03-3:30 PM)
9/24: before school (7:30-8:00 AM), during lunches
These ticket sales will take place in the upper athletic hallway near the bookkeeper window.
Pre-purchase tickets will distributed during the above times in front of the trophy cases near the attendance office by the Cheerleaders and Emeralds..

Homecoming Pep Rally
This year's Homecoming Pep Rally will be on Wednesday, September 23rd.

HoCo Tickets
HoCo Tickets can be pre-purchased by card through myschoolbucks or by cash or check at the bookkeeper window. The last day to pre-purchase is Thursday, September 17th.
LSW Parent Teacher Conferences, Wednesday, September 16th.
In-person Parent Teacher Conferences will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM today. Maps of teacher locations will be available at the front table, but it is helpful if you have your student's schedule or list of teachers, so you know who you are looking for. We hope to see many of you this evening to share the wonderful things your student is doing in class and to partner in helping your student be as successful as possible.
Friday, September 11th is the last day to drop a class and receive a W. Classes dropped after September 11 will receive a F. September 11th is also the last day to request a S/U grade for quarter 1.
10th Grade Honors Convocation
Parents and students received an invited to attend the 10th grade Honors Convocation on Thursday, September 10th at 8:20 am. The ceremony will be held in the gym. Please park in the student or visitor lot and enter through the Main Entrance (Door 1) if you wish to attend.

10th grade screening day - Wednesday, September 9th, 2026.
Neb. Rev. Stat. § 79-249 provides statutory authority to the Department of Health and Human Services to outline minimum requirements and regulations for school health screening. The purpose of screening is to identify those students needing further evaluation or assistance in the areas screened. Parents/guardians are notified of the screening result if the student is found to need further evaluation, as determined by a qualified screener and comparison of individual data with an objective standard. The cost of such evaluation shall be borne by the parent or guardian of the student.
A parent or guardian may submit current screening results from a physical examination or well child examination within the last six months preceding the school’s scheduled health screening in lieu of school health screening. This needs to be turned into the Health Office. All information needs to be turned into the Health Office by the end of the day, September 4th!
Students in Nebraska schools are screened per state requirements for vision, hearing, dental health, and height/weight.

Attention, Seniors! Are you creative and ready to show off your school spirit? We're excited to announce the Senior Shirt Design Contest put on by The Student Council. All seniors are invited to create a design for this year's senior shirt. Once your design is completed, submit it in the Class of 2027 google classroom. Reminder, designs are due by August 21st. Then, during the following week, seniors will have the chance to vote for their favorite design. Good luck, Seniors!

Anyone who is interested in being a pen pal with a high schooler from our sister school in Japan, please come to A213 after school Tuesday for a brief informational meeting about Pen Pal Club. You do not have to know any Japanese to be a part of this cool opportunity. If you can’t make it, look around the building for the posters with a Jump Code for submitting your application. The beginning of the school year is almost here and we are excited to see all of our students and families again. The first week of school is approaching fast!
Just a reminder that the first day of school for students in grades kindergarten, sixth, and ninth will be Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026. Students in grades 1-5, 7-8, and 10-12 will join them on Thursday, August 13. Early Childhood students will start classes on Tuesday, August 18. You can find the updated 2026-2027 calendar on our website.
Don’t miss out on important back-to-school information! Please take the important steps below to ensure your family’s information is up-to-date.
Every year families are required to complete the enrollment verification process. This includes updating contact information and signing consent and release forms. Please do this as soon as possible so you don’t miss out on important information. The deadline is before the first day of school.
Verify your child’s records:
Starting today, families can log on to ParentVUE, and click on the Online Registration button in the top right corner.
Verify the current address, phone number and email information provided. (This is how your school will contact you about emergencies and send important updates.)
Follow the prompts on the screen and answer each question or verify information already provided as thoroughly as possible.
If you have questions or need help with completing these steps, please contact your child’s school.
If you have previously used your ParentVUE account, but can’t remember your password, you can reset it online at https://synergyvue.lps.org/. If you have not yet activated your LPS ParentVUE account, please contact the main office of your child’s school for instructions and an activation key.

New version of StudentVUE app now available
Edupoint, the company that brings us Synergy StudentVUE, has updated their mobile apps for both iPhone and Android. While the functionality is the same, the app looks a little different. All current and future users of the StudentVUE app will need to download the new app. StudentVUE users will student login and password.
Jobs and Extended Learning Opportunities (JELO)
Is your child looking for a job or other extended learning opportunity? Students can use their Chromebook or LPS Student Portal account to check out our electronic bulletin board by going to lps.org and typing in the keyword “JELO”. (Students must be logged in to their LPS Student Portal to view the board.)
Students in grades 6-12 will find information about a wide variety of opportunities available. This includes activities, camps, jobs and internships. We update the board every Wednesday afternoon.
2026 Summer meal information
Thanks to the federally funded program (SFSP), children can get the nutrition they need throughout the summer. Summer community meal locations are listed on the Lincoln Food Bank website with dates and times, or you can text FOOD or COMIDA to 304304, call 2-1-1, or use an interactive map located at NoKidHungry.
