The window for students to request courses for the 2025-2026 school year opened, January 13th, and will remain open for Southwest students through January 31st. Students who added courses to their Course Plan last fall should see these appear in Course Request this week.

Please note that 9th and 10th graders are REQUIRED to take a full schedule, which is 80 credits. 11th and 12th graders may take fewer credits with parent permission if they are in good standing and on track for graduation. However, students should keep in mind the requirements for eligibility if they are wanting to remain eligible for Honor Roll or participation in NSAA Activities.

Counselors will be visiting English 9 and 9D classes, (AP) World History classes, and (AP) US History classes this term to support students in the course request process. Students who had these courses last term visited with counselors to work on their course plan which is being rolled over to course requests and should be visible this week.

Remember, students have until January 31st to enter their requests for the 2025-2026 school year. Thank you for your support and the important conversations you have at home as your student prepares their future plans.
